Welcome Mataya!

Two weeks old!

So, it's been a week since our last post!! As Jen would say, "that is unacceptable!" (in a sweet and loving voice of course). The truth is, I did try to post a few days ago but the site was having some technical issues. I'd tell you more about it but it's super boring, especially compared to looking at cute baby photos!!!...

...like this one!!!

The three of us are officially on our own now after 2 straight weeks of having the grandparents as backup. Here's a shot of Grandma and Grandpa Gave, along with Grandma Gallo. We're so thankful for all the time they were able to spend with us. We were certainly in good hands, as my dad is probably describing here using engineering terms. ; )

Here's a shot from a photo shoot with Grandma Gave. Mataya definitely enjoyed lots of hugs and songs and stories from her grandparents. Being the first grandchild on both sides, we suspect that all the attention she's getting is only the beginning.

This is a pretty photo of mommy kissing Mataya on the cheek. Ahhhhh... I love my girls so much. : )

Laying down, holding my baby girl on my chest... It's probably one of the greatest feelings in the world, and one of my favorite parts of being a dad.

Nice! Your lovely pictures and perfectly matched narratives make us joyously tearful. What a beautiful family you three are. I've heard it said that the best thing a dad can do for his sons is to love their mom. I bet you'll find out that it works for daughters too, because it follows God's plan for the family. Amazingly simple and simply amazing, isn't it? We love and miss you all very much.
