Words cannot even come close to expressing how happy we are right now. Our new baby girl is beautiful, amazing, cute, cuddly, and perfect in every way. In the time it's taken me to figure out how to post on this blog site, I've already been away from her for way too long. It's all about the pictures right now anyway, so I won't try to say too much. Many more pictures and stories coming very soon!!!
This first picture of Jen was taken not long after we got to the hospital. We'll give more details about the whole setup in future posts, but let me just say that Jen is AWESOME. During labor she was amazingly strong and focused. I have infinite respect and admiration for what she we went through to bring our baby into this world.

Mataya is truly a miracle in so many ways. God is so amazing to entrust us with such a precious little baby. We are excited, humbled, and afraid all at the same time, but we know God has his hand on all of it. We also know that, as much as it is hard to imagine (tears of joy the run down my face even as I write this) God loves this little one even more than we do. We are sooooo blessed...
Thanks so much for all of the phone calls and text messages! Momma Gallo has been out here since just minutes after Mataya's birth and it has been priceless to have her with us. She's been so helpful with the baby, sharing her love and wisdom with us. Also, Jen is recovering really well. We're set to go home tomorrow.
As I mentioned, more pictures of Mataya (and maybe even some video) will be posted soon! (especially some stuff with her eyes open so you can see how beautiful they are) We love you all!
P.S. Sorry my post is a little more intense than Jen's bubbly writing. It's been an emotional couple of days. ; )

Oh precious little one, we love you so much! We have joyful tears as we read your daddy's loving, tender words and see the beautiful, loving pictures of him and your mommy holding you. You are so beautiful, and wonderfully made in the perfect image of our Creator. What a miracle, what a treasure you are sweet little Mataya! We are so, so anxious to finally hold you and kiss you love you. We'll see you soon Sweetheart!
