We had an ultrasound on Tuesday to check on the baby's position, and the doctor said the baby is in perfect position. Good baby! Although I think I'd get dizzy if I were upside down all that time! hehehe The doctor also said the baby will probably be around 7 pounds when it's born, so that's good.
Last night my dance team threw me a surprise cupcake party! I had no idea... but I do love (good) surprises! They sang Happy Birthday, but instead of saying birthday, they said Baby. hehehe it was so special! : )
Ellerey took a picture of me this week, but these ones are much better... When Fabe was here last month, she took lots of fantastic maternity photos of me (at 33 weeks). She'll be a graduating photographer at the end of August... congrats Fabe! I'm so excited, she did an awesome job! She's going to put them up on a site where you can see them and get prints if you want (I'll let you know when they're up). But for now, here's a preview...

What changes are occurring with your body?
Your baby is continuing to put on the weight (about an ounce a day), but you most likely will not notice a change in your own weight. You may feel like there is no room left for your baby to grow and may be very tired of feeling so "big", but remember that the longer your baby is in its protective environment up until it's due date, usually the better it is.
How big is your baby?
Your baby has grown to be between 16 and 19 inches long and weighs 5 ¾ to 6 ¾ pounds.*
What is happening with your baby?
The fine downy hair, lanugo, that has covered you baby’s skin is beginning to disappear, along with the vernix caseosa. Vernix caseosa is the thick, creamy substance that has protected your baby’s skin while he/she has been submerged in amniotic fluid. Both of these are swallowed by your baby, along with additional amniotic fluid, which combine together to form meconium, or your baby’s first bowel movement.
Your baby should be in the head down position, but do not panic if he/she has yet to attain this position. If by next week he/she is still not head down, then your health care provider may suggest trying external cephalic version.

Dear Jen, The photos are beautiful but it is only because you are! Each one is so special and Dad and I really love the pose with you and Ellerey. It takes us back to memories of before he was born.
