Less than a week until Christmas!!

Wow! It's been three weeks since our last posting. Please forgive us... again... ; ) We're spending all of our time hanging out with Mataya, including lots of playing, cuddling, telling stories and new adventures everyday! She is sooooo much fun.

Because of all the photos we're uploading at once, I might have to be sparse with the captions. Don't worry... as usual the pictures do all of the heavy lifting. ; )

I think she's telling us a story here. So cute!

This is from Thanksgiving morning. Mataya and I were watching some football while Mommy was getting ready. 

Mataya loves football. She was too busy watching the game to look at the camera...

...and then she noticed that there was some bright colors and interesting typography on her diaper cover! Yay! Daddy is going to teach her all about that stuff. ; )

Mataya has a new friend in her bouncer! Mr. Jingling Frog has replaced the Mr. Monkey as the main subject of her attention.

Mommy took this photo while Daddy was at work. Unfortunately, Daddy didn't get to see Mataya in this outfit because it was either pooped on or spit up on before he got home. Silly Mataya.

This is Mataya's favorite book! It's called "One Sunny Day" and it is about 5 pages long and has no story at all, just 1 through 5 in English, Spanish, and French. None of that is important to Mataya. She likes how it makes crinkling sounds and how it tastes.

These are from a photoshoot that Mataya directed. We wanted to get a few shots of her wearing a cool outfit her Uncle Jeromie got for her. First we stood her up on the couch next to a pillow...

...but she thought that the "senior photo" pose would be more appropriate for her Rock n' Roll outfit. She scooted down and put herself in this position. I'm not kidding!

More leggins! This time she's got a whole animal theme going.

This was a rare and amazing occasion. Mataya was so tired that she actually fell asleep in the car. In fact, she slept for about 2 hours straight. We actually had to wake her up to feed her.

She was so cuddly when she woke up. See Mataya?! You should take nice long naps all the time, not just 30 minute power naps. ; )

She is definitely a Daddy's girl. 

We'll post some Christmas photos as soon as we have them, we promise!!! Ok, Daddy's gotta get some sleep so he's ready to play in the morning when Mataya wakes up... Hmm, I don't think I used to talk in the third person before becoming a father. Is that a dad thing? I kinda like it. ; )
