It's amazing that Mataya is 4 months old now! It was about a year ago that we found out she'd be joining us and the time has sure flown by! It's been such a wonderful journey already and I can't wait for the exciting things in store!
This week Mataya had her 4 month checkup and is doing fabulous : ) She weighs 11 lbs. 10 oz. and is in the 10th percentile for her weight, but a huge 75th percentile for her height at 25" (for you math geeks like me - HA! - that's over 2 feet tall)! For such a little peanut, she's still outgrown most of her 0-3 month clothing by now. Awwww.
In other exciting Mataya news, she's now sleeping in her own room like a big girl! We're sure enjoying not having to worry about sneezing during the night or needing to crawl past her bassinet! hehhe
We took advantage of daddy's new tripod and being dressed up for church on Sunday to take a new family photo of the 4 of us - yes you heard me right, 4! That's mommy, daddy, Mataya, and Mataya's favorite monkey friend! ; ) hehehe
Mommy's little girl loves the camera! Or could it be daddy behind the camera? Okay, she loves them both! : )
She's becoming an independent little baby... so happy and content to just be playing with her toys.

Mataya had a blast playing with her slightly older friend Sadie who came to visit! Sadie even showed Mataya how to roll over, but Mataya wasn't having it.
They smiled at each other, talked a lot and shared toys! I don't have a photo of it, but one of Mataya's favorite moments was when she was watching Sadie having fun in her bouncer looking at the monkey! She let out such a hugh squeal! hehehe
On the same day, Mataya got to hang out with her friend Sydney who's exactly 1 week older than her! They're pretty much the same size, but Sydney wins the red hair department hands down! : )
Mataya was all smiles with her friends - she sure does love them! And so do we!

Mataya you are so precious! I love all of your new photos and you look so happy posing with your friends. I hope I get to meet them. Now I have to try to pick just one of these adorable poses of you to save as my newest desktop!
