I know, I know, this is way too long to go without a posting! We're so sorry! Well, we do have a baby you know, they can sometimes take up a lot of your time! : ) A lot has happened in the past month. Mataya had her 6 month checkup and weighs 13 1/2 lbs. and is doing great! But I'm sure she weighs even a little more by now. Mataya also started eating solid foods! Wow, and she thought all there was to eating was drinking milk hehehe : ) In our most exciting news yet (at least for me), she's sleeping through the night! Some "experts" define sleeping through the night as 5 or 6 hours of continuous sleep, but I think that's bologna! She now goes to bed around 7 pm and wakes up around 7 am - 12 hours! Yay Mataya! I've been waiting for this to happen for 6 months! Now if I can just get myself to sleep through the night! hehehe Well, on to the highlights:
Mataya sometimes gets creative in her sleeping positions! She loves to sleep on her tummy now! And this way too, whatever you want to call it - but I call it precious!
This is what we sometimes find when we get Mataya after a nap! What a happy little girl! She makes our hearts melt!

This grin is the best! There's no faking that! She's just so in love with her Daddy after a nap!
This is hilarious! Mataya was getting pretty giddy in her exersaucer, which she does often, and proceeded to tell me a very funny story that included a lot of expressions like this!

We might have a future pianist in our hands! A very cute future pianist!
Mataya's so good at the piano already that she can even play it with her feet! In fact, she prefers to play this way!

This is Mataya in her jumperoo! She loves it! Except, she doesn't really jump or bounce much, she mostly enjoys running in place! It's so funny! A future track star? hehehe Oh, and check out the sweet sucking in the bottom lip grin : )

Mataya's actually a superstar at eating cereal now! It's so cute how she leans forward for it!
Mataya loves rice cereal, oatmeal, and even squash (although when we first gave that to her she threw up)! We're now working on peas mmmmm! : )
This is Mataya's first time meeting Grandpa Gallo! At first she was a little apprehensive... it must've been the mustache ehehe. But now she loves Grandpa!
Grandpa and Mataya had lots of fun in the few days that he was here! She's already looking forward to the next time!
awwww what a huge smile! She comes up with new ones all the time and each one of them are priceless! 
Don't you wish you could wake up smiling like Mataya? Maybe if we all slept 12 hours we would! hehehe

She's sure gotten a lot of practice at this eating thing already! This is her rice cereal connoisseur persona!

Then she decided to sit up all by herself! Mataya's getting really good at sitting on her own now! She can probably go a few minutes without wobbling. 
She's also fascinated with her feet and loves to play with them and grab them any chance she gets!
With that serious of a look she must be doing something important like counting toes! hehehe
Mataya actually loves the stroller now! It's a far cry (pardon the punn) from some very vocal rides in the past!
And wherever Mataya goes, her toys go too!

I actually laid down in this exact position to see if it was comfortable and most definitely, it is not! She must've liked it or else she wouldn't have taken a 2 hour nap like this! Silly Mataya!

Jackpot! These photos are cute, precious, funny, silly and adorable. We smiled and laughed and awed and enjoyed them so very much. All alone here at home, looking at these pictures, smiling the whole time and laughing out loud at some of them - and sipping a delicious french press of Sumatra! Amazing! It doesn't get much better than this . . . except when we're there hugging and kissing that sweet, sweet little girl! Thank you again for taking the time to pose so beautifully Precious, and thanks to your mommy and daddy for showing us in your blog how happy and cute you are. We love you all so much.
