24 WEEKS (6 months)

The baby's room is officially in progress! This weekend, we successfully found new homes for all the orphan furniture we had to get rid of. And the crib, dresser/changer, and glider + ottoman are now in the room! So now we can just get down to it and start putting together the room. It's crazy to walk past and see a crib in there now! Only 4 short months until we have a baby for the room too!

On Friday we had a doctors appointment, and an ultrasound for Baby G! Our little one has grown so much already! They made sure to stay away from the legs and such, so not to accidentally reveal the gender. So we got a nice head shot! We saw the heart beating really strong, it looked like a tiny hammer working away! And even though it was early in the morning and Baby G was trying to sleep in, we saw the little mouth opening and closing! It was so cute! And yes, we got a 4th confirmation that there is just 1 baby in there. hehehe Apparently some people discover a bonus surprise. So all is great! Enjoy the pictures!

How big is your baby?
Your baby is now 11 inches long and weighs 1¼ to 1½ pounds.*

What is happening with your baby?
Your baby's brain is growing rapidly at this time. Taste buds are also developing, and the lungs are becoming more developed and complex. The branches of the main lung are beginning to form as well as special cells that will produce surfactant. Surfactant is necessary for the air sacs to inflate easily. Babies who are born prematurely often have trouble breathing because these cells have not had enough time to develop or are not producing the necessary amounts of surfactant.*
