18 WEEKS (4 1/2 months)

Sorry I haven't updated you on this week until now. We actually forgot to take my picture on Sunday because we went out to dinner with a great Christian couple in the business industry; once we got home, the only thing I could think about is changing into my pj's as fast as I could. Ellerey was sad because he said I looked so pretty. He's so sweet!

There hasn't been much happening this week. I've been feeling the baby move more which is really cool. I have kind of a funny story... I was at Costco, feeling just fine. Then the baby must've kicked my bladder because all of a sudden, in a very intense way, I felt like I was going to pee my pants! And oh no! There was no bathroom around! Luckily the feeling subsided after a minute. But the ironic thing was that not even an hour before, Anna was telling me how funny it is that the baby girl is doing that to my friend Ellie right now. Since then, Baby G has been very good at listening to Momma though. : ) I've also noticed that when I feel my stomach digest/gurgle, it's in a very different place now since the baby's clearing space! Very weird!

Here's a new picture that was taken on Tuesday. Ellerey said that I wore that outfit for a "maternity shoot" before. Well, you all better get used to repeats, because there's only so many clothes that I can fit in now! He also said to warn you that (bellies in photo are smaller than they appear) due to the belly/back brace. Oh well, I guess it will get me to the front of the line in the ladies room! hehehe

How big is your baby?
Your baby is now around 7 inches long and weighs 5 ½ ounces.*

What is happening with your baby?
A protective covering called myelin is beginning to form around his/her nerves. This covering will continue to form up until your baby’s first birthday. If you are having a little girl, her fallopian tubes and uterus have positioned themselves into the correct place. If you are having a little boy, then his genitals may be noticed on your next ultrasound. However, many babies do not like to cooperate during the ultrasound, and the genitals cannot be seen.*

Miraculous! And wonderful and beautiful. This is what Psalm 139 says about all that:

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

God is so good. His hand of perfect blessing is all over this. It is all so amazing and miraculous and glorious . . .
