On Friday, we had an unplanned visit to the doctor due to my clumsiness. : ( In the middle of the night, I had gotten up to get a drink of water and because of my growing belly, I misjudged the space and bumped my stomach into the door knob. Not hard enough to bruise, but hard enough for it to be tender for the rest of the night. So, we just wanted to be on the safe side and make sure everything was okay. Thankfully, the doctors office was able to get me in that day. So, yes, we were so relieved when we knew Baby G was quite all right. I'll be much more careful from now on! They did an ultrasound and it was amazing as always. Strong heartbeat, lots of growth, you could even see the bones, and I thought I saw him/her move just a little. So now we have a new picture to make up for the last time that we couldn't get a printout! YAY! What a little cutie!
Then, on Saturday, my friend Ellie went with me to create my registry at Target. She definitely knows her stuff, so I was very very thankful that she would do that for me. It was somewhat overwhelming considering all the things that new babies need, coupled with the fact that I was pretty clueless as to what things were for and why I needed them. So I learned a lot! The registry is pretty much done now... phew! I think I deserve a pat on the back. It makes me feel like we have a plan because we know what we need and that all those baby items are not an unknown anymore. I'm really excited, Target has some pretty cute baby stuff! Although I know that it's pretty hard for baby stuff to not be cute. Now, onto finalizing the furniture choices at JC Penney.
I bought my much anticipated full body pregnancy pillow for sleeping too. Wow! What a difference! It has been so hard for me to sleep lately but this pillow supports me in all the right places which makes it so much easier to stay asleep. I even bought a few maternity tops at Target. (see pic below) I'm surprised that they don't look like tents on me and I may even be able to wear them when I'm not pregnant too. It's so nice to have a few clothing options that actually fit now! Ellie also brought me some maternity clothes that get passed around... how nice! There was 1 pair of jeans that I can actually wear now, but most of the other stuff (2 tees, and 2 other jeans) might fit later when I'm bigger. I'm also really excited about this pregnancy belly band that I got that pretty much converts your regular pants into maternity pants... I'm loving it!
So I think I covered all the basics. Oh, one more thing. I crave Ramen noodles now... very crazy I know!

How big is your baby?
Your baby is now approximately 4 inches long and weighs just a little less than 2 ounces.*
What is happening with your baby?
Your baby is continuing to grow and mature at this point. Your baby’s arms are going to begin to lengthen and be more proportioned to the rest of the body. The liver is beginning to produce bile, while the spleen is beginning to produce red blood cells. The development of your baby’s brain enables him/her to use his/her facial muscles to grimace, frown, and squint. He/she may even be sucking his/her thumb.
